Earlier this morning, Tim was asked to photograph the Dedication and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of the new Juvenile Court building on American Ave. and Highway 99! Tim Fillpot, CPP, is a Certified Professional Photographer, and today was a change from his usual wedding photography! Many officials and dignitaries were on hand to make the morning very interesting!
Tim also spent a few hours this afternoon with Linda Penner, Chief Probation Officer of the Fresno County Probation Department, recording voice-overs for a slideshow video Tim is producing for the "Centennial Celebration" of the Fresno County Probation Department, which began operations in 1909. A very special "Thanks" goes out to Chief Linda Penner for making today possible!
A quote from the KMPH online coverage:
"Fresno County's new Juvenile Justice Campus is state of the art and makes a strong statement to the community. The two story facility just south of Fresno is spacious and stunning with its architecture. At Friday's grand opening movers and shakers lined the hallways to see the new digs. The Probation, Public Defender, Conflict Counsel and District Attorney Offices are on the ground floor, while Superior Court is on level two. The 56-million dollar campus has six court rooms. Seating is limited but local leaders say the building is designed to serve Fresno County for 50 years. The Juvenile Justice Campus is one of only two in California with a county and state partnership. County Probation Officer Linda Penner believes the facility itself speaks to the community and says "we care about these kids and we want to move them on, upwards and out." Planning for the Juvenile Justice Campus began over a decade ago. The master plan was finally approved in February 2002."
